So, we have had a busy weekend! Yesterday, we slept in a bit, and then we went to Rosa's with my family and an out of town friend. Rosa's still rocks, but I dislike the new sit down menu style. I liked the big ever changing white-board style!
Anwyay. After that, we went to Blueroses' house for a hipmama partay... was supposed to be at Tiff's but she is a sick cookie. Feel better Tiff!
Then we went to my sister Mandy's dance recital, the Motion Pacific annual recital. It really was excellent. Mandy was wonderful of course, but many school recitals are pretty boring. This one was quick, flawlessly executed, entertaining etc. Also, clearly the instructors are creating a very positive atmosphere, the vibe was really cool. Anyways! Then we went to 99 bottles to celebrate Mandy's triumph. Rose was a trooper and slept through the whole thing. (Well, no, she watched the dance performance most enthusiastically, it was the pub she slept through).
Today we went downtown for the Santa Cruz Pride Parade. I love it, cause I get all my pride ya yas out without having to deal with the great big huge overwhelming and far away SF Pride. It was beautiful.
Now we are going to watch a video about Hawaiian Music! Woo woo.

Was it a slack key video? I used to work for a publisher of slack key here in town. I saw a couple of shows... they were great.
We've been wanting to go to SF Pride for years now but the drive and being on Market w/children in the heat is daunting. Why we don't make the SC one, I don't know but... this year I totally didn't know it was happening. D'oh.

Oh! I should share when things like Pride are.
Then we could all go.
It's fun. It makes me fee queer, when I have sucha str8 life.
