She's bAaack...
Seriously, we touched down early yesterday and I am finally awake enough to blog. Well, I cheated, I spent most of yesterday afternoon with the mamas. But I did nap, and again today I napped.
Maui was... hot, tropical, exotic, lovely, full of tourists, full of beautiful fish and yummy fish... we snorkeled, drove through the rainforest, took a boat trip to snorkel and see two species of dolphin and green sea turtles!
Rose learned about Teletubbies while we were away. She passionately loves them. She squeaks and bounces and freaks out. It is hillarious and though slightly distressing, gives me good 15 minute chunks of time for those silly little things in life like bathing.
Now we are at my folks house and making sushi, yummer yum...
Morelater, when the pictures come back...

I didn't know you had just gotten off the plane Fri morning! No wonder you looked like you were still in the tropics in the afternoon. I love your hair, btw. I need to do that to mine too. See you soon :- )

Teletubbies is definitely very skillful at connecting with babies. The use of brilliant color and expressive sound. The tones, shapes and movements of the 'tubbies themselves are like what babies would do if they had the coordination. When they really get a-bumpin' an' a-huggin' Rose will start bouncing her butt up and down on the bed while doing her "huh" grunts. Next weekend I'm checking out volume 5 of the video collection from the library so she can "Sing along with Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po as they come to play!" We'll have to watch to see if she actually sings.
Gaby is still way more into the tubbies than Jesse. He gets kinda wild when they're on. I tried to interest J *when G was away) but to no avail. Maybe if Rose comes over and demostrates some tubby adoration he will decide it is kewl.
