  • Back to Work...

So I was out of work for two weeks having my gallbladder trauma, and today is my first day back. Not so thrilling, had to get up early, the baby threw a fit (see previous comments on "object permanence"), the server was down all morning and they cancelled my afternoon meeting, the reason I did not just telecommute, *after* I got here! What fun.

We booked our tickets, etc for our family trip to Maui. I am excited, I need a real vacation. Taking time off work for emergency surgery does *not* count!

Wow, having a blog is so about *me*. Cool. ;)

Going back to work has another upside, I can listen to Democracy Now! on my way in. I love Democracy Now!, it makes me feel indignant and sometimes happy and at least connected. And I love Amy Goodman. She is so feisty. It was almost all about the Israeli occupation today of course, and there was this really sad story by this guy who was one of the first non military-escorted outsiders to get in to the Jenin refugee camp. Sigh. You can read all about it on their site, it just made me sad, and angry. But what's new about that?
